DESCRIPTION:We are excited to launch a new DSAWM support group for parents of Young Adults with Down syndrome. The group will meet on the 4th Thursday of each month in the DSAWM Conference Room. This gathering was formed with the intention of holding space for parents with similar experiences to share stories\, advice\, and gain peer support. We want this to be an informal\, comfortable space that anyone is welcome to join. Think of it more as a guided conversation and connection with other parents. Topics will vary based on open discussion\, but there will not be a set structure. Parents will meet on their own\, and one attendee can report back to our Community Outreach Manager\, Hazel. You can bring up any topic or issue that DSAWM may be able to help with. The hope is to have a safe environment for parents to talk and support one another! DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our Kibu program for members aged 4 and older on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Loutit District Library (Program Room A) in Grand Haven OR the Third Reformed Church in Holland! The program will take place in Grand Haven one month and in Holland the next\, alternating between the two locations each month. We’ll have an evening of fun\, movement\, and connection. Kibu is a virtual platform featuring videos designed specifically for individuals with developmental disabilities. DESCRIPTION:Caregivers of individuals with Down syndrome are invited to this support group that meets every month. The Aging with Down Syndrome Meetings are sponsored by DSAWM and Alzheimer’s Association. Participants share experiences and discuss the process of caring for loved ones growing older with Down syndrome. Meetings are typically on the fourth Monday of every month but the May meeting with be on the third Monday to avoid having it on Memorial Day.  \n\n\n\nPlease register HERE if you are interested in attending and email program@dsawm.org if you have any questions.
